Evening Prayer – 1 August 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A long and exhausting day

Yet also a day filled with much good work

Time spent as well with family in Rocky

Time spent laughing and playing games

In the midst of it all, Lord, your presence

As my eyelids grow heavy, Lord, your strength

As I prepare for a heartbreaking burial tomorrow

As a broken-hearted family mourns

Lord, accompany them through the Valley of the Shadows

In your mercy, hear this humble prayer for them

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
