Evening Prayer – 31 July 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Thankful for family near and far

Thankful for the opportunity to serve

Thankful for the Spirit’s presence

Thankful for the opportunity to be still

As we prepare for sleep tonight

I lift this prayer for healing and strength

For a dear friend who is fighting for life

When we don’t have the words to pray

Lord, you intercede on our behalf

For all who work or watch or wait or weep this night

Hear this humble and heartfelt prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
