Lest we Forget
Oh Freedom… in 1985, I sat at the back of the public bus which took me from downtown Montgomery, Alabama back to Maxwell AFB where I was in training at the USAF Chaplain’s School…. an African-American woman sat at the front of the bus… we were the only two on the bus and it was a time of reflection for a young Chaplain Candidate, Second Lieutenant from a small town in Minnesota… a lot has happened to me since that day and I am no longer passively on the sidelines…
May we never forget!
