Sermon – Being Good Shepherds – 22 July 2018

Last month we drove over Trail Ridge Road and saw some Moose and Elk on the other side of Rocky. This particular Bull Elk was sitting at first and then simply laid down in the grass. It was a rather warm day and I am sure he was hot. I wonder if this is how the disciples felt after they returned from their first mission trip and encountered the hungry crowd. It was likely how Jesus felt most days during his incredible three years of public ministry!
First Reading – Jeremiah 23:1-6
Second Reading – Mark 6:30-34, 53-56
