Evening Prayer – 18 July 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Still trying to understand

What has happened to this nation

Where is the civility

Where is the truth

Why are lies told without repercussions

Where is the common decency

What happened to loving one another

Lord, my heart aches deeply

Lord, my spirit is overwhelmed

And then I see this sweet Elk calf

A reminder of your hope

A reminder that our voices do count

A reminder that Matthew 25 is the way

A reminder that Micah 6:8 is the way

A reminder that Amos 5:24 is not a pipe dream

Lord, renew and invigorate us

With hope in my heart I lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
