Evening Prayer – 17 July 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been another day of wonderful ministry

It has been a time of reflection

Yet in the midst of it all

So much on the world’s stage

Hatred

Animosity

Greed

So many -isms

So many -phobias

Lord, surely you must weep

How far your children have strayed

Love God

Love neighbors… ALL neighbors!

Forgive us, Lord

Cleanse us, Lord

Renew us, Lord

Challenge us, Lord

Equip us, Lord

Make us YOUR instruments, Lord

May YOUR light shine through us, Lord

May we indeed be this prayer

May we be YOUR peace

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra
