Evening Prayer – 7 June 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been a day of relaxing

It has also been a day of some frustration

Yet in the midst of it all, Lord

You are present

Your love guides and sustains

You remind us in ways great and small

Remind us that your love always sustains

When we feel worn down

You lift us up

When we aren’t sure which way to turn

Your Spirit guides us

As we prepare for sleep and for a busy Sabbath day

We lift our cares and our prayers to you

Circle us, Lord

Keep peace within and disharmony out

Keep sleep close and gentle and restlessness out

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
