Evening Prayer – 3 July 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of ministry and preparation

Preparation for Memorial services

Also an evening with dear friends

As we ended the evening relaxing

Lord, I think of so many who cannot relax

For the widows and orphans

For the refugees and the homeless

For those without adequate medical care

For those who will go to bed hungry in a land of abundance

For those who will go to bed in fear for their lives

For the victims of violence, hatred, warfare, and greed

For ALL of your children who yearn to be free

For all who come to this country with hope in their hearts

For all of them, I lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
