Evening Prayer – 28 June 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A wonderful morning with family

Yet it was also hard to say goodbye

Thankful for so many memories made this week

Thankful for so much, Lord

A long day of traveling concluded

Safely home and ready for sleep

Yet we smell the fires burning in Colorado

Praying for all of those who are hit by these fires

For all First Responders

Especially for Firefighters and rescue personnel

For people evacuating from their homes

For all the people who watch and wait and pray

For business owners who wait and watch and pray

In your mercy, Lord, hear this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
