Evening Prayer – 21 June 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow
A long day of business and amendments
A time of worship around the Table

Time to contemplate your call to Moral Action
How do we live out your Justice, Lord
How do we live out your Mercy, Lord
How do we live out your Peace, Lord
We don’t live it out by destroying the earth
We don’t live it out by inhumane policies
We don’t live it out by empty political posturing
We live it out, Lord
By doing Justice
By loving Mercy & Kindness
By walking Humbly with You
Pour out your Spirit upon us
Challenge and equip us to serve You and not selfish interests
Challenge and equip us to be a Matthew 25 people
Challenge and equip us to be instruments of your Peace
May we walk as the Prophets did long ago
Until Justice rolls down like waters and Righteousness like an ever flowing stream
Lord, on behalf of your Creation
Lord, in behalf of the voiceless
Lord, on behalf of the powerless
For all of your children, we lift this humble prayer
Dona Nobis Pacem
Grant Us Peace
And may we be that Peace in all that we do
A wee prayer from the heart of your Padre…
