Evening Prayer – 2 June 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of rest, relaxation, and fellowship

Also a day of contemplation

Pondering the meaning of the Sabbath

The meaning isn’t found in legalism

The meaning isn’t found in ritual

The meaning is found in relationship

Be still and know that I am God you said, Lord (Psalm 46:10)

Be still

Be in your presence

Be open to hear your call

Fill us and renew us, Lord

Equip us to love and to serve

And in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
