Evening Prayer – 9 May 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As the day comes to a close, thank you Lord

Thank you for your gracious presence

Thank you for good friends and co-workers in faith and in life

Thank you for the wonder of your creation

Surround us, O Lord, with your presence

Keep us safe and secure through the night

“Keep watch, dear Lord,

With those who work, or watch, or weep this night

Give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend the sick, Lord Christ;

Give rest to the weary,

Bless the dying,

Soothe the suffering,

Pity the afflicted,

Shield the joyous;

All for your love’s sake”

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem
