Evening Prayer – 28 April 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A long and emotionally rough day is over

While it is a sacred honor to officiate

Funerals are incredibly difficult

As we said farewell and commended his soul to God

To see the grief expressed by family and friends

It tears at one’s heart

As we walk through the Valley of the Shadows

Lord, continue to guide and sustain us

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
