Evening Prayer – 28 March 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of preparation for the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday

A time of reflection and prayer

A time to walk with dear friends through the Valley of the Shadows

As the snow fell, I prayed

As I prayed, I wept

Lord, as the blanket of white covers

So may your grace, love, and mercy cover us

As we enter this most holy of times

May we walk with you, Lord

May we break bread with you

May we stand watch with you

And when we fail, as the disciples did

May we feel the touch of your hand

May we receive your love and forgiveness

Lord, in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
