Evening Prayer – 15 March 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Our hearts are aching tonight

My dear Mother-in-Law Jeanne has slipped the bonds of this Earth

We have been walking through the Valley of the Shadows with her

Yet at the end she was at peace

She taught me the true meaning of strength

Her whole life, pain was a constant companion

Yet she persevered through it all

She gave to me my beloved partner in faith and life

While our hearts ache with an emptiness

Our spirits rejoice that she is whole

Our spirits rejoice that she is at peace

Our spirits rejoice that she is in your loving arms, O Lord

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted

For my beloved… for our family… hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem
