Evening Prayer – 12 March 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As family gathers around

We share stories, laughter, tears, and love

My dear Mother-in-Law is wrapped in love

The Prayer Quilt made and covered in prayer for my Mother

Is now wrapped around Jeanne

Our community in Estes Park created it

They covered it with prayer

My Dad offered it as a precious gift

As we walk this final journey with her

As we walk through the Valley of the Shadows

You are with us, Lord

As the quilt wraps and warms

Your love and the love of our community

They cover and surround us

For this precious gift and this presence

Thank you, Lord

Requiem aeternam dona eis

Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis

Eternal rest give to them, O Lord

and let perpetual light shine upon them

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
