The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Lord, yet another death in the parish

Another family walks through the Valley of the Shadows

Another family seeking your comforting presence

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted

In the midst of it all, thank you for an evening respite

Thank you for good food and good fellowship

Thank you for a new friendship that blesses

Thank you for an opportunity to share life

In the midst of it all, help us to remember

You are with us always

Your light shines in the darkness

Lord, in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
