Evening Prayer – 4 January 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Thinking of yet another friend who has lost a parent

It reminds me how precious and fleeting life is

It has been a tough few months for so many

In the midst of it all, it is easy to fall into despair

Yet your promise, Lord, remains

I will not leave you or forsake you

Yea though I walk through the Valley of the Shadows

I am with you…

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted

Lord, may your presence and promise comfort and sustain

May your children know your presence

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
