Evening Prayer – New Year’s Eve 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As we sit on the cusp of the new year

May we also take time to reflect on the year now ending

The highs and the lows

The mountaintops and the valleys

The rough places and the smooth

Through it all, Lord, you have been our constant companion

Even though we walked through the Valley of the Shadows

We feared no evil for you were with us

Help us, dear Lord, to live each day in your love

Help us, dear Lord, to live each day in your grace

Help us, dear Lord, to live each day in your peace

For this year and for your children we pray

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
