Evening Prayer – 20 December 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As Solstice approaches

As the longest night draws near

Lord, for those who suffer as a result of the darkness, I ask your comfort

For those whom this season is not a season of joy, I ask your comfort

Lord, for those who fear for the future, I ask for your strength

Turn our hearts, O Lord

May each of us see that we are truly connected to each other

In your just economy, Lord, may we embrace our sisters and brothers

May we tear down walls that divide

May we build bridges that unite

May this truly be our prayer for ALL of your children who are our Sisters and Brothers

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
