Evening Prayer – 19 December 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer

As we walk towards the Solstice

As we walk towards the longest night

We reflect upon those whom we love

We remember those who are no longer with us

We hopefully spend time with friends, family, partners in life and faith

Tonight was such a night for us

Laughter, Love, Food, Reflection, Celebration

In the midst of it all, we also remember

Lord, in this season of hurry and scurry

Help us to simply be still in your presence

May your love enfold us, comfort us

May our lives indeed be our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
