Evening Prayer – 13 December 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As the sun began to set I was on the road

A time of fellowship and friendship ahead of me

To pause and simply enjoy the Master Painter’s work

To reflect on all that has gone on these past few months

Lord, in the midst of it all, remind me

When exhaustion sets in as it does so often

Breathe your Spirit of refreshment into my soul

When my heart is heavy, lift the burdens, Lord

When the grey of depression strikes, lift the burdens, Lord

When I don’t know what to pray or say

Speak into the silence your words of life, Lord

And in all circumstances, Lord, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
