The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

When the heart is overwhelmed

Lord, speak your words of peace

When emotions run deep and words fail

Lord, speak your words of comfort

When the worries of the world close in

Lord, shine your light in the darkness

Show us your way, Lord

The way of grace

The way of mercy

The way of justice for the downtrodden

The way of humble service as Christ lived

Lord, in all these things, make us instruments

Instruments of your love

Instruments of your mercy

Instruments of your peace

Lord, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
