Evening Prayer – 29 October 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A long and incredibly full day

Worship, Fellowship, Prayer, Preparation, and Travel

As we drive across the plains

The mountains disappear behind us

Traveling into the unknown tomorrow 

Now we pause for a few hours sleep before continuing the journey

For sleep, for rest, for calm, for peace we pray

Lord be with those who watch or work or weep this night

Protect those who are vulnerable 

Strengthen those who are weakened by life’s stress and strain

For all of your children, Lord, we lift this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
