Evening Prayer – 11 September 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

On this eve we remember the Eleventh of September 

Sixteen years ago life changed for so many

Sixteen years later, lives are still changed 

Sixteen years later, so many still grieve 

Still — Hatred and Division… Fear and Demonization occur

May the words of Fr Mychal Judge, OFM, ring in our hearts 

“The wonderful thing is saying yes and accepting God’s grace. We could say no and walk away. But when we say yes and go forward, great and wonderful things will happen. It takes courage in the midst of fear, but you do it with the grace of God.”

May we go forward in God’s service

May we go forward carrying God’s peace

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra
