Evening Prayer – 4 September 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Labor Day heralds the beginning of Fall

It is also a time to honor those who work for the benefit of others 

Fair hours, fair wages, equal treatment 

We still have a long way to go

Lord, for those who struggle to make ends meet

For single parent homes

For the working poor

For those involved in the struggle

May they find strength for the fight

For those who don’t care about what is equitable 

May their hearts be changed 

For all of your children, Lord

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
