Evening Prayer – 2 September 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A time of rest, reflection, and football

Fall is descending, where did Summer go?

In the midst of it all we remember

Those who are in need of your healing touch

Those who are recovering from hurricanes 

Those who are facing other storms in their lives 

Those who seek to survive day by day on the streets

Those who live in the midst of warfare and famine

For your children, O God, that they might know

Stability instead of chaos

Love instead of hate

Calm instead of fear

Peace instead of violence of all kinds 

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
