Evening Prayer – 17 August 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Exhausted and weary

A long but productive day has ended

As we prepare for sleep, Lord

We remember those who have no place to lay their head

We remember those whose nightmares keep them awake

We remember those who toil through the night

We remember those who live in fear

We remember the hungry and homeless

We remember the widows and orphans

We remember the ones whom society has rejected

We remember those who have been hurt and abandoned by the so-called religious 
Lord, we remember and we pray

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
