Evening Prayer – 16 August 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of medical appointments 

A day of frustration with insurance subcontractors 

Yet also a day of reflection and winding down 

Pausing to commune on the side of the road with this fellow

The herd grazes and it reminds me

Go gently and peacefully in all places

When you do, there is the presence of God especially felt

In the midst of the noise, seek quiet for contemplation 

Speak Lord, for your servant is listening

Speak and guide us in the way of love

Speak and guide us in the way of justice

Speak and guide us in the way of peace

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
