Evening Prayer – 14 August 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of ministry and reflection

A day of water mitigation and repair

A day to pray, write, ponder…

I think of ones who are dear to me

Who are afraid of what this nation is becoming

Who are afraid of the hatred

Teach us, Lord, to live with a spirit of love

Teach us, Lord, to stand up to hatred 

Teach us, Lord, to show the more excellent way 

Teach us the way of love

“And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”

Grant Us Peace on Earth
