Evening Prayer – 10 August 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

It has been a long day

With frustrations a plenty

Yet in the midst of it all, Your Grace, Lord

For friends who offered assistance and compassion

For friends who offered a meal and fellowship

Help me to remember, Lord, the situations much worse

The times I have spent in danger and difficulty 

The times so many continue to spend in fear and danger

Lord, grant us a restful night

And, in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
