Evening Prayer – 7 August 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

When a community comes together

Not for selfish gain or ambition

But rather to make a difference

When that community seeks to provide hope

When that community seeks to help others

Through the empowerment of children and working parents

In that, we see the hands and feet of Christ at work

Thank you, Lord, for those who seek to be those hands and feet

Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to serve 

As I think of those whom we seek to serve

Lord, hear this prayer

Grant them hope, a present, and a future

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us (and then) Peace
