Evening Prayer – 19 June 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of fellowship and meetings

Also a day of mixed emotions

Wonderful afternoon with a dear friend over coffee

Sharing life, laughter, and friendship 

Yet…

To hear that a dear sister has slipped the bonds of Earth

So many family and friends grieve

She would say don’t grieve but celebrate love and life

A shining light shines brighter in heaven

Blessed are those who mourn

For they shall be comforted

Lord, continue to walk with us through light and darkness

Lord, let your light shine through us

Lord, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
