Evening Prayer – 9 June 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A morning and afternoon spent with a precious friend

Time exploring and meeting wonderful people

Yet, in the midst of it all, we pray/mourn

Flashbacks to a time long ago

A dear friend and colleague who lost the will to live

So many I have walked with through the Valley of the Shadows

To another dear one who is like a daughter to me 

In the midst of a tragic and horrific situation

Lord, when our hearts are overwhelmed, we pray

Give us the strength

Give us the courage 

Give us a sense of your abiding presence 

Lord, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
