Evening Prayer – 20 May 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Ministry often comes in various forms

Listening, Simply Being

Words not as important as presence

So much pain and heartache

The grief of lives lost too soon

The pain felt in the slow goodbye of dementia

At times like this we turn to you, Lord

As I gazed upon the Table

As I contemplated the bread of forgiveness 

As I contemplated the cup of your covenant

Lord, I felt your presence

Lord, I felt your loving embrace 

And so I lift this prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
