Evening Prayer – 24 April 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

My Lord, what a Monday!

Despite all of the chaos

We gathered around your table

In a class studying the Parables 

In an Afghan restaurant 

Around your Table, Lord 

In a hospital room

With our niece on her last evening here

In all places and circumstances, Lord, you are with us

And now, as we prepare for rest

We lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
