Evening Prayer – 21 March 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Ever had one of those days?

Our Bull Elk neighbor has an itch that is bothering him

Yet, Lord, the biggest itch that gets me

Is the itch that Saint Augustine described 

My soul is restless until it finds its rest in You

Lord, help us to do more than simply scratch an itch

Help us to do what you call us to do

Do justice

Love kindness/mercy

Walk humbly with You

To love you with all that we are

To love every neighbor as ourselves

Then, Lord, the itch will be satisfied

Then, Lord, we will live out this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
