Evening Prayer – 7 February 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Disorder, Hatred, Fear, Chaos

Intimidation, Demonization, Terror

Darkness looms and the fear is real

Lord, in the midst of this… a prayer from the depths

A prayer, a groan, a sigh… too deep for words

Give us the courage to let the light of your love shine

Encourage and equip us to let it shine

May Your light pierce this darkness

Lord help us to resist the darkness

Lord help us to resist the hate

Lord help us to resist the fearmongering

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth 

Let that peace begin with me!
