Evening Prayer – 24 January 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Today I watched a Bald Eagle and Ravens 

They were gathered on frozen Lake Estes

Mutual respect and coexistence happened

While there were moments of disagreement 

In the end they shared a meal together

I learned a lesson today, Lord

From winged creatures great and small

From our afternoon study group 

From our community’s Melodrama cast

When we all work together towards a common goal

Each one is supported and nurtured

As a nation and world, may we learn this lesson

May we stand together as one

May we encourage, love, and support each other

May we speak for the voiceless

May we stand with the most vulnerable

May we learn to do Your justice

May we learn to love kindness/mercy 

May we learn to walk humbly with you, Lord

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth 

May we be that peace!
