Evening Prayer – 17 January 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A nation prepares

A nation wonders

A nation prays

A world in chaos

Hatred and division

Fear and apprehension

Frustration and anger

Violence and greed

Lord, into such a world you were born

Lord, in such a world you lived and loved

Lord, in such a world you ministered to the ones in the margins

Lord, into such a world you brought love and light 

Lord, into such a world you brought hope and peace

With all of this in our hearts and minds

Lord, we lift our prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
