Evening Prayer – 16 January 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As the day draws to a close

We remember Brother Martin

We remember his dream

A dream of peaceful existence

A dream that celebrates diversity

Where we are woven into a beautiful tapestry

A rainbow of colors and hues 

He had a dream

I have a dream as well

Where Your children, Lord

Come together and peacefully coexist

Race, Religion, Ethnic background, Sexual identity 

These labels no longer dividing

These labels are simply descriptors

In this world, Love ALWAYS Wins!

Lord, especially on Dr King’s Birthday we remember

We pray

We hope

We dream

May we strive together as one towards that dream

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
