Evening Prayer – 11 January 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Another long yet full day of ministry

Lord as my eyelids grow heavy and my eyes blur

I pause to thank you for your many blessings

I also pause to seek your encouragement 

Where I may have fallen short, graciously forgive

Where I have needed strength, lift me up

Where I have needed patience, your serenity

Lord, as I pray for myself

As I pray for our community

As I pray for our church

As I pray for our nation

As I pray for your world

Lord, in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
