Evening Prayer – 5 January 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

On this eve of the Epiphany we remember

Gifts brought to the Christ Child by the Magi

Gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myhrr

Gifts for a King and Priest

What do we bring to the Christ?

Do we bring our hearts?

Do we bring our love?

Do we bring our hopes?

Do we bring our concerns?

Do we bring our joys?

Do we bring our sorrows?

Do we bring all that we are?

Accept our gifts and our lives, dear Lord

May your healing balm be upon those who are hurting

May your comfort be with those who mourn 

May your peace be upon all of your children

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
