Evening Prayer – 21 December 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

When your body says slow down, eventually you listen

Today was one of those days

Tonight’s Blue Christmas Service revived a weary Padre

To see so many light their candles

To see so many lift up their burdens

Truly was a Balm in Gilead

For all those who carry heavy burdens this season

For all those for whom the longest night is a struggle 

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
