Evening Prayer – 19 December 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

We gathered around the Lord’s Table

We sang familiar carols

We reflected on the Magnificat 

The faith and strength of young Mary

Her bold and prophetic statement of faith

Even in the midst of darkness, a light shines

As we draw nearer to the day of the Lord’s birth

May we have the faith and strength of Mary

She gave birth to the light of the world 

May the light of Christ shine brightly

Even in the midst of darkness

May our souls magnify the Lord 

May our spirits rejoice in our Savior

May he hear the prayer of our hearts

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
