Evening Prayer – 14 December 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

In the midst of this beautiful place

People are struggling to find hope

Hope in the midst of difficult prognoses

Hope in the middle of transition

Hope in the midst of the bleak midwinter 

As the days continue to shorten

As the nights continue to lengthen

May your light shine brightly, Lord

Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it 

Let your light shine as we lift this prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
