Evening Prayer – 4 December 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A powerful Lord’s day service

Extraordinary music and worship

Always a blessing gathering around the Lord’s Table

Even thought the wind has howled all day

A time of rest and refreshment

The Christmas tree is going up

With a prayer of thanksgiving 

I lift up the Peace Warriors and their cause

Clean water and treaties kept instead of broken

Thankful for the reprieve and vigilant

Vigilant that their land and water isn’t forsaken

I lift up your creation, O Lord

May the peace of this season overcome all manner of hatred

May the peace of this season overcome all manner of fear

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
