Evening Prayer – 3 December 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of rest, study, preparation and prayer

A day of discernment and contemplation 

A good prayerful, reflective evening walk 

As I pray for those who are hurting

As I pray for those seeking safety and sanctuary 

As I pray for those who mourn

As I pray for victims of hatred 

As I pray for victims of violence and war

As I pray, I recognize each as sister, as brother

As I pray, I see one created in Your image, Lord

As the firelight flickers

Lord in your mercy, hear this prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
