Evening Prayer – 30 November 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

An evening walk and we met this fellow

Mere feet away from us, we had a lovely chat

He was a reminder of the blessings in life

After a day of prayer and support

After making plans to support and encourage

We continued our walk and God gave us an opportunity 

Time to hug and share with a dear friend 

To pray and encourage and share light and love

Sometimes in the midst of this season of joy

Hearts ache and tears are shed

As this deer appeared at our side

He seemed to say, I am with you

His gentle gaze 

His quiet presence 

A reminder to us… a gift

Thank you, Lord, for this gentle reminder

Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
