Evening Prayer – 27 November 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As the wind howls outside

We thank God for the shelter of our home

We also pray for those who suffer in the elements

As the fireplace flickers and glows

We thank God for the warmth and comfort

We also pray for those who aren’t able to get warm

As Isaiah challenges us to Walk in the Light

Lord, show us tangible ways we can share your love

Show us the way to make a difference in the lives of others

Help us to see the ones whom society prefers to remain invisible 

Help us to live and love as Jesus taught

In that spirit, Lord, in your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
